Day 1

Morning

On the first day, we’ll start early in the morning because we have a long distance to travel. We’ll head out to Anlong Veng which is a small town and the last strong hold of the Khmer rouge up until the mid to late 1990s.

In Anlong Veng, we’ll stop by to see Ta Mok’s house, who was a Khmer Rouge leader.

We’ll continue our journey on to Preah Vihear temple which overlooks Thailand on top of a 500m cliff.

Afternoon

In the afternoon, we’ll head back towards Siem Reap and stop by Koh Ker temple. Here you will see Prasat Pram, Prasat Thom, Prasat Neang Khmoa, Prasat Kro Chap, and Prasat Lingas before we drive back to Siem Reap town.

Day 2

On the second day, we’ll start around 7:30am to start the drive out to the neighbouring province of Kampong Thom. We’ll go to see the magnificent and very untouristed Sambor Prei Kuk temple.

Here, we’ll see Prasat Sambor, Prasat Toa and Prasat Yeay Pean. We’ll then stop for lunch at a local restaurant before heading back to Siem Reap.
